The Palestinian Public Finance Institute (PPFI), The French Consulate General in Jerusalem, The French Agency for Development (AFD) Group, organized an information session today at PPFI premises regarding a new scholarship program financed by the AFD.
In the framework of a cooperation project between the French authorities and the PPFI, a new scholarship program has been announced for the academic year 2023/2024. The program is dedicated to Palestinian students with a bachelor in economics and finance fields. The scholarship will cover the fees of a master’s degree in Development Economics at the Research and Study Center for International Development – CERDI, based in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
30 Students from different Palestinian universities attended the event and were interested in learning more about the program.
Mrs. Nihad Younis PPFI Director welcomed the audience and explained the importance of such an opportunity for Palestinian students to strengthen their capacities and broaden their perspectives to help empower the Palestinian community, especially those who will work at the public sector.
Mrs. Lyse Marques, Project officer at Expertise France, presented general and important information about the master’s degree, and facilitated the application process.
Mrs. Tatiana Lehat, the Academic and Scientific Cooperation Officer at the French Consulate at Jerusalem, explained in detail about the role of the campus France in supporting administratively the selected candidate.
At the end of the event several questions were raised by students to learn more about the scholarship.
A webinar will be organized in January 2023 with representatives from CERDI University before the submission deadline, to answer possible questions regarding the application process.
